Stephen V. Prichard earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from U.C.L.A. with a concentration in Accounting. Upon graduation in 1987, Stephen joined the Big 5 firm of KPMG Peat Marwick in Long Beach in the Emerging Businesses Division and conducted audits and reviews of various companies in the "middle market" sector. This included companies with revenues between $5.0 and $30.0 million.
In early 1991, Stephen left KPMG to assist a start-up healthcare company based in Irvine, California. Stephen implemented the financial infrastructure in order to track the company's multi-million dollar operations located in eight states.
In early 1993, the company was sold to a larger publicly-traded entity, which allowed Stephen to begin his full-time accounting practice. Stephen began his sole practice by providing consulting and tax services to small businesses and individuals. In March 2002, Stephen became formally incorporated as Stephen V. Prichard, An Accountancy Corporation. While building his practice in the early 90's, Stephen concurrently worked as a Federal Investigator for the Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration, a department within the United States Department of Labor, where heconducted investigations into employees' claims of misappropriations and improprieties relating to company pension funds.
Since 1998, the firm has grown tremendously through both acquisitions and referrals and by expanding the services offered. In addition to the bookkeeping and tax compliance services, the firm now offers financial statement attestation services, assistance with estate and trust planning, litigation support, business valuations, and payroll services. The firm also assists numerous companies by consulting with top company officers regarding financial and budgeting needs.
Stephen V. Prichard and his staff remain committed in providing the business and local communities of Orange County with excellent quality, honest and friendly service.
